nuen (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information when you visit our website, use our services, submit a contact form, or apply to join our contractor network.
By using our website or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our website or services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you submit our contact form or join-network application, we collect personal information you voluntarily provide, including but not limited to: your full name, email address, company name, job title or role, phone number, project description, technology stack preferences, areas of expertise, LinkedIn profile URL, resume or CV files, and any additional details you choose to share in free-text fields.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain technical information through analytics cookies, including your IP address (anonymized), browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and general geographic location (city/region level). We use this information solely for website analytics and performance improvement.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from publicly available sources such as LinkedIn or GitHub profiles you have made public, but only in connection with evaluating your application to join our contractor network.
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Contact Form Submissions
Information submitted through our contact form is used to respond to your inquiry, qualify potential engagements, schedule discovery calls, and provide you with information about our services. We may use your company name and project details to prepare relevant proposals.
2.2 Join Network Applications
Information submitted through our join-network form is used to evaluate your qualifications, match you with potential client engagements, maintain our contractor network database, and communicate with you about relevant opportunities. Resume files are stored securely and reviewed only by authorized nuen team members.
2.3 Analytics and Improvement
Automatically collected data is used in aggregate to understand how visitors interact with our website, identify areas for improvement, monitor site performance, and ensure security. We do not use analytics data to build individual user profiles for advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Storage Location
Your personal data is stored on US-based servers and services. We use industry-standard cloud infrastructure providers for data storage and processing. Financial and business data is managed through Mercury and our internal CRM systems, all of which maintain US-based data residency.
3.2 Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL), access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, regular review of data handling practices, and secure deletion of data that is no longer needed.
3.3 Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions for the duration of any active business relationship and for up to 24 months after our last communication. Contractor network applications are retained for as long as you remain an active member of our network, or for up to 12 months after your last application if you are not selected. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
4. Sharing of Information
4.1 No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We have never sold personal data and have no plans to do so.
4.2 Limited Sharing
We may share your information in the following limited circumstances: with potential clients when matching contractors to engagements (contractor profiles only, with your consent); with service providers who assist in operating our business (e.g., email hosting, CRM tools), subject to confidentiality agreements; and when required by law, regulation, or legal process.
4.3 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.
5. Cookies and Tracking
5.1 Analytics Cookies
We use analytics cookies to understand website traffic and usage patterns. These cookies collect information in an aggregated form to help us understand how visitors interact with our site. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking technology.
5.2 Essential Cookies
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of our website, such as those that maintain session state and security. These cookies do not collect personal information and cannot be disabled without affecting site functionality.
5.3 Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
6.1 Right of Access
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days and provide the information in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
6.2 Right to Deletion

You have the right to request correction of any inaccurate personal data we hold about you. You may also update your information at any time by contacting us directly.
6.4 Right to Opt Out

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. Exercising these rights will not affect the quality of services you receive or your eligibility to join our contractor network.
6.6 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which they are used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (though we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address provided below.
6.7 European Residents (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, we process your personal data on the legal bases of consent (when you submit forms), legitimate interest (analytics and business operations), and contractual necessity (when you engage with us as a contractor). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
7. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. 8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
