Who invoices me, and how often?

nuen invoices you biweekly, net-15. You contract with nuen rather than with individual contractors, so there is one agreement and one payable regardless of how many people you engage.

Is there a minimum term or a setup fee?

No minimum term and no setup fee. Notice is one week for part-time engagements and two weeks for full-time, and the same notice applies to reducing hours. Engagements billing $2,500 or less in a month add a flat $60 processing fee.

Can the rate change mid-engagement?

Not without your agreement in writing. The rate is set at booking by the individual's seniority and holds for the engagement. Hours can increase at any time; reducing hours takes the same notice as ending the engagement, and the hourly rate stays where it was.

What is not in the hourly rate?

English coaching, private health coverage, appreciation benefits, equipment and country-specific compliance are add-ons, billed monthly or one-time and scoped when you book. They are never folded into the hourly rate.

How many candidates do I see?

Two or three named finalists with rate, availability and a 5-minute intro call each. We send the ones who cleared vetting rather than a long list for you to filter.

What if the hire is not the right fit?

If a hire is not meeting performance expectations, notify nuen in writing and we re-match from the vetted shortlist. If you flag a fit issue within the first week, that week is not billed.

Do hires work my hours?

Yes. Everyone in the network works US-overlapping hours, roughly UTC-3 to UTC-6, and the overlap window is confirmed before you book.

Can I hire someone directly later?

Yes. The buyout is salary-based and steps down with tenure — 20% of first-year salary within the first 12 months, 10% from 12 to 24 months, 5% after 24 months — stated in your contract from day one.

Who owns the work product?

You do. A mutual NDA is signed before work begins and work-product IP is assigned to you for everything created during the engagement.

How is access to our systems handled?

The hire works inside your SSO, your repositories and your secrets manager. You provision access and you revoke it. We do not hold credentials to your environment.

Are we exposed on contractor classification?

Classification sits in our contracting setup, not yours. You engage nuen; we hold the downstream contracts and the payment documentation for international transfers.

Yes. We work from your paperwork instead of asking you to adopt our template. Send it before the discovery call and we arrive with it reviewed and any questions flagged.
