How it works
One call, a shortlist, then a part-time start.
You never commit to a full-time hire to find out whether the fit works. Every engagement begins at ten to twenty hours a week and grows when it actually makes sense.
nuen · how it works
Senior LATAM engineers.Without the full-time bet.
Four steps from first call to a working engagement.
- 01
Tell us what you're building
Share the work, the pressure points and what has to move first. We come back with the role family and the rate band that fits it.
30–45 minute discovery call
What happens on each side
- You
- Bring the problem, not a job description.
- nuen
- Name the role family, band and realistic start date.
- 02
Meet your shortlist
Two or three vetted finalists with rate, availability and a 5-minute intro call each — before you commit anything.
2–3 named finalists
What happens on each side
- You
- Run the intro calls and pick.
- nuen
- Vet, reference-check and schedule; send rates in writing.
- 03
Start part-time
Begin at ten to twenty hours a week. Move to half or full time once the fit is clear to both sides.
Part-time from day one
What happens on each side
- You
- Provision access inside your own SSO and tools.
- nuen
- Sign the NDA, assign IP to you, run contracting and payments.
- 04
Scale or adjust anytime
Add capacity when the roadmap expands, reduce scope when it contracts, or hire the person directly on published buyout terms.
Ongoing after kickoff
What happens on each side
- You
- Say what changed.
- nuen
- Adjust hours, add roles, or run the buyout at the stated terms.
How we vet
Four checks before anyone reaches your shortlist.
You meet the two or three who pass. If a hire is not meeting performance expectations, we re-match from the vetted shortlist after written notice.
01
Craft screen on real work
A working exercise or portfolio review scoped to the problem discussed on the discovery call, not a generic test score.
02
English assessed separately
Fluency is graded on its own. Client-facing and heads-down roles are priced differently, and you pay for fluency only where the role needs it.
03
References verified
Previous engagements confirmed with the managers who ran them, plus identity and eligibility checks before any contract is signed.
04
You interview the finalists
A 5-minute intro call with each of the two or three finalists. If a hire is not meeting performance expectations, we re-match from the vetted shortlist after written notice.
Contracts, IP and classification
One contract with nuen, whatever the team size.
Cross-border contracting, IP assignment and contractor classification are handled on our side of the engagement.
One contract, one invoice
You contract with and are invoiced by nuen, never by individual contractors. We manage the downstream contracts and the monthly payment flow, including documentation for international transfers.
IP assigned to you
A mutual NDA is signed before work begins, with work-product IP assigned to you on everything created during the engagement.
Classification handled upstream
Contractor classification is part of our contracting setup, so the exposure of engaging foreign contractors directly stays off your books.
Access stays yours
The hire works inside your SSO, your repositories and your secrets manager. You provision access and you revoke it, and we are glad to work from your standard MSA.
Biweekly · net-15
One invoice from nuen every two weeks. Contracts and international payments are handled on our side.
Vetted re-match
A re-match from the vetted shortlist after written notice of a fit issue.
1–2 weeks notice
One week part-time, two weeks full-time — to end or reduce hours. No minimum term.
Published buyout
Hire the person directly on salary-based terms stated in the contract from day one.
The next step is a 30-minute call.
Bring the work and the pressure points. You leave with a role family, a rate band and a date for your shortlist.
